Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of Construction activities
  • Coordination of subcontractors
  • Assisting and supporting project team members with daily project coordination
  • Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.)
  • Procurement of construction materials
  • Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
  • Weekly pictures for progress reports
  • Manage construction equipment
  • Safety Oversight
  • Project estimating for change orders, RFIs, etc.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience

  • Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
  • Experience with construction software is preferred
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time

Project Estimator

Mobile Enterprises is currently seeking Project Estimators for bridge and road construction, as well as Infrastructure related construction projects.

Are you someone who likes to be involved in both simple and complex projects? Someone who likes to be a part of a creative and problem solving environment where what you do really matters? Mobile Enterprises is looking for individuals with strong character – a competitive entrepreneur who is energized by working on a team.

Mobile Enterprises Project Estimators organize and perform pricing and bidding of construction projects. They have strong communication and interpersonal skills to present a project or bid to a client, as well as field questions about any given project, anytime.  We are looking for someone who is not only good at building an estimate, but someone who is also good at building relationships.

As a Project Estimator, you will work with the management team to determine the appropriate project fit for the company. You will price and bid construction projects and work with the management team to support the company goals. You will have a career that involves creative problem solving along with the opportunity for growth and development.

  • Evaluate project logistics and project schedules
  • Determine labor and equipment costs

  • Prepare bid quotes and bid packages

Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred
  • Three (3) years of construction management experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs and engineering principles

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time, as well as meet deadlines in a fast paced, demanding environment

As a Project Superintendent, you will be in charge of the daily oversight of multiple projects. You will manage the project schedule, drawings, and specifications as well as the coordination of subcontract requirements of the job. You will identify causes of project cost variances while working to eliminate negative impacts. You will identify potential project risks while looking for ways to reduce them. You will have daily interface with employees, clients, suppliers, and will need the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. You will not only need creative problem-solving skills, but also the ability to think on your feet in order to maintain the project schedule and project profitability. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of a project and make sure it is handled right the first time.

  • Create and manage project schedules and budgets with Project Manager
  • Coordination of subcontracts, drawings, and specifications for the projects under your direction
  • Identify the causes of cost variances and eliminate negative impacts
  • Control construction costs and waste
  • Identify potential project safety and construction related risks and work to eliminate them
  • Communicate quality standards to all on the project team under your direction
  • Conduct regular QA/QC inspections
  • Follow company safety programs, laws, and OSHA operating standards with a “safety first” attitude
  • Prepare daily time cards for personnel under supervision
  • Prepare daily logs and reports as required for each project
  • Manage jobsite cleanliness

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of construction field management experience preferred
