Choctaw Hotel Shear Wall Repair

Poor consolidation of the concrete from large aggregate and embedded rebar resulted in dramatic voids and honeycombs left in the shear wall pour at the Choctaw Hotel project in Durant, Oklahoma.

Mobile Enterprises, Inc. was contracted by Baker Concrete to hotshot men and materials to the jobsite to remove all the loose and unconsolidated concrete from both sides of the shear wall structure and to form and pump nearly 300 bags of SikaTop 111 PLUS mixed with 3/8” pea gravel into the voided areas. The entire job was completed in about two weeks.
