Horseshoe Casino Hot Water Tank Lining

During routine maintenance of a 1,250 gallon water heater at the Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, LA, it was discovered that the liner in the water heater was severely corroded in the vapor zone. PVI Industries, who manufactured the heater, contacted Mobile Enterprises, Inc. to remove the existing liner and install the Ceilcote Flakeline 103 system.

The existing liner was removed by abrasive blasting and the carbon steel interior was blasted to a white metal finish with a 3 mil profile. The Flakeline 103 was trowel applied in two 40 mil coats and then spark tested at 8,000 volts. The installation was completed in 3 days.
