The Chevron Drilling Technology Center was having problems with egress of fluids from the skimmer pit of the facility which receives drilling fluids and other liquids from the laboratory and drill site at the center.

Mobile Enterprises, Inc. crews drilled ports, set injectors and injected hydrophilic urethanes beneath the gunite slab of the pit to seal the cracks. Then the upper surface of the crack was routed 1/4″ x 1/2″ and sealed with a chemical resistant, flexible epoxy resin. Cracks in the block weir wall were routed 1/4″ x 1/2″ and sealed with the chemical resistant, flexible resin.

The pit is now leak proof.
