The City of Fort Worth – Municipal Garage

The 35 year old Principal Municipal Parking Garage in Fort Worth, TX had been showing signs of corrosion and deterioration for a number of years and the city officials became concerned with the condition of the structure.

After evaluating many types of competitive surfacing materials, Kelmar was chosen to protect all seven levels of the parking structure.

All delaminated areas were chipped out and exposed rebar was sandblasted and coated with epoxy. These areas were then patched with latex fortified concrete and the entire slab was prepared by shotblasting. Kelmar was then installed on all seven levels of the garage. During the installation the garage was continuously in operation.

Eight years later, the City of Fort Worth still has a waterproof, structurally sound parking garage.
